Adekunle Samuel Olumide, DVM
Adekunle Samuel Olumide is a dedicated Veterinary Doctor with over a decade of hands-on experience in poultry production, farm management, and extension services. He graduated in 2010 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
He began his professional career with TUNS International Limited in Osogbo, Osun State, where he served as an Extension Officer under the broiler out-grower scheme. In this role, he provided technical support to farmers, ensuring optimal bird performance and adherence to best management practices. He also later functioned as a Quality Assurance Officer in TUNS farm modern frozen chicken processing facility, where he was responsible for maintaining product quality, hygiene standards, and compliance with processing protocols.
Adekunle further expanded his expertise as a Farm Manager at MITA Global Resources in Ifo, Ogun State, overseeing a commercial layer operation. There, he managed production systems, flock health, and operational efficiency, contributing to improved productivity and farm profitability.
He later joined Globus Resources Limited, where he worked as an Extension Officer for a broiler out-grower scheme. He later served as a Broiler Breeder Farm Manager, supervising breeder operations, and ensuring high standards in biosecurity, hatchability, and flock performance.
In December 2025, Adekunle joined County Choice Farms, Ijebu-Itele, Ogun State, where he manages the Breeder Farm and Phase 2 commercial Layer Farm. In this capacity, he oversees layer breeder and commercial layer operations, focusing on optimizing production, maintaining flock health, and implementing efficient farm management systems.
Adekunle is recognized for his strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and commitment to advancing poultry production through effective farm management and farmer support systems.
